Honda is a Japanese automobile manufacturing company that has been popular in the United States for many years. The CR-V is Honda's small-midsize SUV model. According to The Times of London, "CR-V" stands for "Compact Recreational Vehicle." The CR-V name incorporates Honda's goal to provide consumers with an automobile that is a crossover between a sport utility vehicle and a compact car.

The Honda CR-V was first produced in June of 1997.
Drivetrain
The 2010 Honda CR-V has a four-cylinder, 180-horsepower engine and either a two-wheel or four-wheel-drive transmission. Those specifications allow the CR-V to have ample acceleration with good fuel economy.

According to Honda's website, the CR-V gets an estimated 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

Models
The CR-V is available in LX, EX, or EX-L models. The LX is model is the most basic, but includes power locks and windows, a CD player, and air conditioning. The EX is upgraded with keyless entry, a moonroof, and alloy wheel. The EX-L offers leather seats and a power drivers seat. The LX model is the cheapest while the EX-L is the most expensive.
