Risk Factors

Treatment
Gynaecomastia caused by drugs may be treated by discontinuing the drug causing the condition. Most cases that start during puberty need no treatment, as they will resolve themselves spontaneously.
Surgery
In cases that cause the patient physical pain or severe embarrassment, surgery may be performed to remove glandular tissue in the breast area.
