Depression is a mental illness, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have physical symptoms. The physical symptoms of depression can be as painful and debilitating as the psychological ones. People with depression often have frequent headaches or stomachaches. You might feel sore all over for no apparent reason, and your limbs might feel heavy or weak, as if all your energy has been drained. If you're depressed, you might sleep much more than usual or you might suffer from insomnia. Even if you're sleeping a lot, you might still feel tired all the time, as if you're dragging yourself through the day. You might find yourself eating much more or less than usual, leading to unintentional weight loss or gain. Depression can reduce your desire to have sex. It can also limit your ability to perform or to enjoy sex. Many people experience at least one of these symptoms at some point, and even if you have several, it doesn't necessarily mean you have depression. Other illnesses or something as simple as daily stress can cause these symptoms, so it's important to be diagnosed if you think something is wrong.Pain and Weakness
