If the sign says 55, but they won't stop you unless you're going 70, what is the speed limit? Is it what the sign says, or the cop?

You're reading Can I contest a parking violation if my car was towed from the spot thus eliminating any evidence? In my eyes, I was perked legally, but I can do very little to prove it after the car is towed.

For the record, the citation lists "Parking within 5 feet of driveway or alley"... Isn't there a way to contest this? I have been very meticulous (or paranoid) about this lately, and have been very careful about this very thing. I feel that if I had a picture of my car in the location, it could prove without a doubt that I was not in violation, but obviously this is impossible.

The violation cites "parking within 5 feet of driveway/alley"... Can this not be contested? I have been meticulous about this very thing lately, and I am quite certain I did not violate this. If I had a picture of the scene I feel it would exonerate me, but obviously this is impossible.

You can contest it on the merits. However, how can you be sure you were at least five feet?
