  • Some of my reasons: 1) The BNP is racist and fascist. 2) The BNP lies and manipulates statistics to create something completely distorted and often unreal. 3) The BNP attempts to create fear through this exaggeration, misrepresentation and generalisation. A BNP quote: "Wherever there are large numbers of young Muslim men, groups of them team up to lure girls - often as young as twelve or thirteen - into a nightmare world of sexual abuse, rape, beatings, drug addiction and prostitution. Some of these perverts are recently arrived 'asylum seekers', others come from settled immigrant communities and were born in Britain." 4) Its policies, including those unrelated to ethnicity (although race and ethnicity still manage to appear in its seemingly unconnected policies) are either screwed or completely weak and superfical. They appear to care about education issues, rural issues, the elderly - the things they want to do mean nothing. These are little appeasements which won't change any of our institutions' underlying problems. 5) They want to create a police system which offers no protection for the public. Despite claims that the community will have better dialogue links with the police, brutality will be given the space to rise due to an increase in police powers and racism will be given the space to rise. I am not saying the BNP will be responsible for this single-handedly, but if you take away protective functions, this will be a possibility. 6) I think Britain, under teh BNP, would be an oppressive and controlled place. 7) I have absolutely no idea how the BNP intends to make Britain better in reality. How it is going to fund all these expensive (and often completely pointless) changes. It doesn't tell us. The BNP reminds me of a student running to be the President of the Student's Union - relying on peer popularity, handing out sweets as bribes, and offering nothing of value in return for the vote. It latches onto the issue of the moment and doesn't demonstrate the ability, or the understanding, necessary to run a union never mind the country.
  • My little sister is black & wouldn't be welcome in a Britain controlled by the BNP.
  • If you know anything at all about the BNP,then you can probably work it out for yourself.
