  • a wart is a viral infection of the skin, a blister develops when the layers of skin are injured below the top layer and lymph fluid seeps up under the next upper layer eg. 2nd degree burn, fever blister, friction blisters. A boil is a over sized Zit, and a carbuncle is a cluster of boils. Most have an oil gland at the bottom that has developed an infection. Many types of tissue develop Cysts, and there are many types of cyst, likely more that the types of tissue that get them. Some are fibrous(like a wart, but without the virus for an excuse), some are fluid(like a blister internally) and they can show up almost anywhere. With the other 3, they all show up on skin or mucous membranes, only.
  • Mad Mike did a perfect job, but to add a bit it's all about what is inside the skin. The skin is raised and either contains tissue, pus or lymph.
