On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being the highest) how much do you desire personal prosperity? At what stage in the scale would you be satisfied with your level of prosperity?

We are able to pay our bills Suby. That level of prosperity is more than many others have. We are happy with that and I cannot quantify it for you. We don't "need" any more than we have so we are satisfied! That is the key to happiness my friend...be satisfied with what you have..don't keep seeking what you don't have...because that way you will never be happy in my opinion! :)

I would say around 7 is what I desire, 7 is where I am satisfied, and 7 is where I am. See the way that works out? : D

- You're very welcome, Suby. I suppose having been in the military for so many years made me less money-oriented than many of my peers, or maybe I just lucked out. As long as I have a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes to wear, someone to love, and a way to occupy my mind, I'm good to go. I give the rest to charity.

Can I say 0(Zero)! In monetary terms I do not have any requirements.They are fulfilled by my students.But I do ask for prosperity for them maybe enough to live in this world happily.+

- I was looking to see how many would want 9 or 10, krisnaknows.
  Material prosperity beyond reasonable limits causes attachments which will be difficult to shake off. Adversity below a reasonable limit could occupy the mind too much with the bread&butter game.
  For normal Grihatas I would think anything between level 5 and 7 would be ideal. I am happy to see most answers suggest these figures. There is hope for mankind as long as prosperity is not given precedence over the search for the inner self.
  Your level of '0' is a very difficult to attain level. I am happy there are a few among us who have achieved that. My Namaskarams.

- 5 would keep you worry free financially. Still you must remember that prosperity has a way of getting us into its trap. Be sure you don't cross 7 on the scale and you will be fine.

- Thanks Suby, I have never wished to be wealthy, I know what wealth can do to people. I just would like to be at the level I would have been had everything not been taken away. Meeting with the attorneys at 11 to see if they are going to finally settle out this settlement. I don't want more than I deserve or work for, I just want what was "stolen" from me by the state.

Hello Suby, I would say 6, I would like to be comfortable financially to enable me to live my best life and to help others. I am willing to work for it and would not say it is my lifes desire to aquire huge ammounts of money. :0)
