  • It's wired into human biology, like all animals. Why do you think it's OK to consider that a sin?
  • Social norms. But in reality it does happen both ways!
  • Nature made males lust after females to keep the species flourishing. For me, I find it to be a lot of fun.
  • Is it not blatantly obvious to you that the species wouldn't have survived if men didn't have this mentality? We are biologically programmed this way in order to keep perpetuating the species. The same as ANY other species.. Why would we be different? Did you accidently miscue in the please remove my testicles line on the day they were handing out basic common sense? Because That's what it seems like...
  • The male human animal has to size up the potential female mate and be able to determine if she is going to be fertile.
  • Because it is.
  • We are built as sexual beings, and we have the right to experience stimulation, pleasure, and joy in what we are without guilt as long as we maintain the reasonable boundaries of other human beings.
  • The only reason why it's more acceptable for men as opposed to women is because of the male dominance over females throughout the centuries. Because of that it has generally made some perceptions/ stigmas that have also lasted. It doesn't mean women don't do the same thing, but they have been better trained to control their sexual urges than men, in my opinion. It's also the sexist logic that thinks women should do all the cooking and cleaning, not that I would mind, but it's still not exactly fair to think that way. I think it's ok for me to check out women and lust after them, just as I would have no problem with any women that wants to check me out and lust after me. So I think it fair for it to be both ways and thus "okay." +3
  • I'm sure that women do the same with men. As long as it is discreet and polite, no harm done. Sexual harassment is another matter altogether, totally unacceptable by either gender.
  • You don't live in the same world as me if you think only men do that.
  • Becouse it is just too much fun...I'm sure even you do it.
  • Because it is.
  • It IS ok. Again dude, chill out. That's the problem with Christianity... it takes normal, healthy facets of human nature and makes them a sin. In my opinion, THAT'S what's not OK.
  • The reason it's okay is because women encourage it. If they did not respond this would not be as popular.
  • Because it's normal, both ways. Just because some of us are with others, doesn't mean we're dead. If others are single, there's nothing wrong with admiring the human body.
  • The human body is a wonderful thing. Men and women are hard wired to look at the opposite sex. It is how we choose our mates. this is a natural human action. To say that men "check out" women is correct. women also "check out" men. Men and women are meant to feel sexual attraction for each other. to deny this is to deny your own humanity. It it the actions that may be a problem, not the fact of the attraction that is felt.
  • If they didn't, not many of us would be here.
  • It doesn't matter to me whether "other people" think it's okay or not okay. I "check out" women because it pleases me, and I don't think that I do it in a way that displeases them. That is, sometimes I flirt and play with them, if they seem receptive to that, and sometimes I just "admire from afar", if they're attached or I'm otherwise occupied. I don't embarrass my own girlfriend by openly ogling other women, but I'm not blind: I still notice others. If I don't, then she points them out to me. It's all done with some discretion, dude. I don't expect many teenagers to grasp that. A lot of middle-aged folks don't, either. When -- if -- you grow up, you might notice that life is absolutely chock-full of gray areas, and precious little solid black and solid white. If you try to live in only the solid white and imagine that everything else is solid black, you're going to have a miserable life, and so will everyone who manages to stay around you.
