    Second Hand Lions, starring Robert Duval, Michael Caine, and Joel Haley Osment. Osment also did a good job in the The Sixth Sense. I don't really follow any of their careers, but I really liked these films.

    Oh man, Nicholas Cage has been growing on me. He was really good in "Adaptation".
    Cara Seymour's a really underrated actress too, I think. She played a United Nations worker opposite Don Cheadle in "Hotel Rwanda".

    I think it's really a lot more impressive when actors play supporting roles really well, than when main actors play really good roles.

    Of the older actors: Jack Klugman (famously from "12 Angry Men", but my favorite of his was a Twilight Zone Episode) and then probably Tishiro Mifune from "Seven Samurai".

    There's definately a lot more though.

    Montgomery Clift might be the best actor I've ever seen, though - - any movie he's in that I've seen, he's been great - - " A Place in the Sun " and " Judgment at Nuremberg " come to mind
