  • A real man knows the importance of family, he is great role model, you can trust his word, he treats you with respect, accepts your faults and loves you anyway.

  • I used the term here on AB just within the last day or two. I realized after posting it that everyone's definition of a real man is a little different. When I use the term "real man", I'm usually making a point against an extreme situation, as in the below link, but I really think all men are real or have the ability to be real. "Real" by being who they truely are inside. With that being said, below I used "real man" as someone who treats others with kindness and respect, a man who isn't afraid to show how much he loves someone and is willing to forego a perceived macho image to do what's admirable. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/8146879

  • I suspect it's a bit like "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" Every person idea of what a real man is differs (and I suspect as you grow older, it changes). Mine is a man that respects his wife and children, supports his family to the best of his ability without loosing sight of the other important things. A gentle man who is not afraid of speaking when the situation calls for it, but does not think all situations call for it. Hey, the list goes on and on.
  • Someone who embraces all men.
  • I am a little old fashioned so my answer will probably not be everyone's definition. To me a real man is one who has integrity, who will work his ass off to provide for his family, instill a sense of pride and right and wrong into his children, opens the doors for a lady, shows his emotion and love for family and friends. Never raises a hand to a woman and protects his family with his life if need be. +4
  • He's got a penis and testicles.
  • A real man doesn't need to prove he is one by putting others down. He is confident in who he is and not afraid of what others think of him. He is "Man enough" to do what is right.
