  • If your allergy is plant based, as in pollen or such, find a LOCAL beekeeper, and take a teaspoon of honey bought from them, and eat it daily. Local bees will use the pollens from local plants, and it will help you build an immunity.

  • Use a salt water rinse to flush your nasal passages. You can buy kits cheaply at Walmart. If you try it at home make sure to USE SALT! If you don't, it will burn your nose. This will remove allergens from the nasal passage and also rid your nose of mucous. I use it frequently and recommend it to all. It was actually suggested for me by my Ear,Nose, and Throat Physician
  • The one thing I found actually helps is purchasing locally produced honey from farmer's markets, etc. The local bees use local pollen, and for some reason it helps build a tolerance I suppose to those pollens. I'm actually not sure why it works, but it definitely helps me with my allergies, and I love English Muffins with peanut butter and honey anyway, as well as supporting my local economy with buying locally produced honey.
  • salt water for the nasal passages. tumeric paste (tumeric and water) for itches.
  • Well you probably won't be open to urine therapy.. at least most people seem to freak about even hearing it . I would do the ACV with the local honey. Or I would look into angtrom minerals.
  • Honey and Lemon Juice is the best for allergies. Make sure you use local honey. Local honey is produced closest to where you live. This honey contains tiny bits of the pollen specific to your geographical area. This minimal exposure helps your immune system develop defenses against the particular irritants you arelikely to be exposed to. How Allergies Work Allergies develop from continuous exposure to the same allergens. Over time, repeated exposure to the same plants builds up in your system until one day you have an allergic reaction. It seems strange that adding more exposure to pollen through honey will help allergies, but it does. It's the same reason people take allergy shots. The amount of pollen you get from the honey (or the shot) is so small that your body is able to ‘fight it off' easier than when you get hit by a full onslaught of spring pollen. This immunity then continues into pollen season protecting the child or adult from allergic reaction - or at least making them less severe. While it's the same principle behind taking allergy shots, honey all-natural, less costly, and tasty! It's not all hippie nonsense. The positive effects of honey on allergies have been studied by the National Institutes of Health, Office of Alternative Medicine, where they found it was an effective substitute for expensive and potentially dangerous allergy shots. However, like all natural remedies, honey is subtle and it takes a commitment to use it over time to reap the benefits.

  • An allergy can be described as sensitiveness of the body to a substance which does not normally affect other persons. There are numerable substances in the environment which can cause mild or violent reactions. These reactions may be due to intolerance to certain food, pollutions and other substances. Allergic reaction may occur within a few minutes or hours or days of the patient coming in contact with the allergen. Almost, any part of the body can be affected by allergies.. The affected portion is called the shock organ. Common affected areas can be eyes, nose, skin, chest and ear. Allergens can be caused by a wide variety of substances like pollen, dust, animal hair, cosmetics, poisonous plants, serum, vaccines, drugs, sunlight, heat, extreme coldness as well as variety of foods. The symptoms of allergy are varied depending on the substances causing the reaction. The symptoms may be recurring headache, migraine, dizziness, irritability, nervousness, depression, sneezing, diabetes, eczema, heart-burn, hay fever, indigestion, constipation, stuffy or running nose, swelling of face or eyes, etc. The same food can cause a different symptom in different people. There are various ways to tackle many of the allergic disturbances. First, the source must be identified. This is a difficult but not impossible task. Second, once the sources are discovered, they should be avoided. Third, and most important, general health and resistance should be built up to establish immunity to them. There are two methods to detect disturbing foods. The first method is the trial and error elimination diet. This automatically eliminates many hazards and foods. Keep to organic, untreated, unprocessed foods as far as possible and you will eliminate another set of hazards such as pesticides, various sprays and other poisons. After having eliminated as many disturbing factors as possible, a self-search should be carried out to ascertain any suspicious symptoms from foods. It is advisable to try an eliminary diet. Occasionally, changing the brand or the type, you can find a good substitute that does not upset you. Another method is Dr. Coca’s “pulse test”. Check your pulse before a meal. Then limiting that meal to one food only, wait for half an hour after eating and take your pulse again. A slight increase is considered normal, even up to 16 extra beats. If your pulse does not rise above 84, you may be allergy-free. But if your pulse rises beyond that point, and remains high an hour after the meal, you have found your food allergy. Build a good resistance system by going on short fruit juice fast, vegetable juice fast (carrots, grapes, apples, etc) for a week. The body requires a large alkaline reserve for its daily activity. The many emergencies of acid formation through the day from wrong foods, fatigue mental stress and lack of sleep can be met by the competency of the alkaline reserves. The foods that should be excluded or reduced from the diet are tea, coffee, chocolate, cola drinks, alcohol, sugar, sweets and foods containing sugar, refined cereals, meats, fish chicken, tobacco, milk, cheese, butter, smoked, salted, pickled foods and foods containing any chemical additives, preservatives and flavouring. Eat more of fruits, vegetables (grown using organic manures and where pesticides and chemicals are not used.), dates, almonds, unrefined celeries, sprouts, greens, curds, buttermilk and reduce or restrict the intake of acidic foods.
