To answer the quesiton, a simple smile and a hug from someone. To elaborate on the topic, there was a book written way back in 1990 by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi called "Flow." The subtitle is "The Psychology of Optimal Experience," and it talks about humans' pursuit of happiness. He says that success and fulfilled desires are not what make people happy. You'll notice that rich people aren't necessarily happier than poor people, or that CEO's aren't happier than stockroom personnel. The key to happiness is what Mihaly calls "Flow," and what we would call today as "Being in the Zone." True happiness comes when we are totally focused, intense, and zeroed in on something important to us. The experience of this optimal sense of being is where we find true happiness. This experience can be created at any time, we just have to understand how we and when we can do it. So for all of those people who are answering "money" or all the material things you think you need in life, perhaps a quick read of this book will do you good :)
