I usually carve ONE of EACH ..a scary one and a happy one ... +5

bit of both really I carved 4 1 was a moon and stars 1 was a happy face 1 looked like it was on something lol and the other was a devil

Scary. This year-two. One was a 'dead' one, with crosses for eyes and an open mouth, a big bite out of it, lying on it's side with it's innards trailing out towards... The evil grinning one with pointy teeth who had the dead one's top cap in it's mouth.

We carve whatever we can make sense of! We try to make it scary. None of us are very good, and the kids pretty much make a mess of it. FOr added effect, we stab a big butcher knife into it's "skull" and leave it sticking out. +5
