All balls are of equal size and can move without friction an collide elastically. So I take my own ball A and set it at rest near a vertical wall. Then I take the first ball 1lb from the set and roll make it move towards ball A, like this: ///| . . . . o . . . <-o wall . . . . ball A . . . 1lb The balls will collide (bang!), the moving ball will stop and transfer all momentum to ball A. Ball A will move to the left, and collide with the wall (bang!) and bounce and collide with 1lb ball (bang!) and the 1lb will go away and there will be no more bang!s. Altogether we counted 3 bang!s or 3 colliosins. Then I take 100lb ball and repeat the procedure. This time the bang!s will be more like machine gun fire and there will be, I tell you that, 31 bangs. And I will repeat with balls 10000lb, 1000000lb and 100000000lb. Here is the summary of bang!s measured: 1lb 3 100lb 31 10000lb 314 1000000lb 3141 100000000lb ?????
