Because no one should be detained without charges or trial, tortured contrary to the Geneva Conventions, nor should random innocent civilians have their communications tapped. "Successful" my heinie! At what costs?

Just because the new government wants to develop diplomacy instead of starting new wars,how is that apoligizing to enemies.If a country invades another do you think the citizens of that country will embrace the invader? Is the war on terrorism successful using the current ways of doing it,I question that logic? Look at Iraq which is now in shambles,for it effects the whole country which only a very small part of it contains terrorists.

Sorry ..never seen them do this at all...never, Obama is trying to repair diplomatic relationships with many countries around the world and restore the U.S. credibility which for the last decade has been none existent in any way shape or form and its working very well. As for "successful war" I have yet to see this at all in fact the U.S. hasn't won any war in the last 50 plus years let alone the war on terrorism.
