Murder is a sin.
God created the law.
God does not sin.
God is perfect.
He will not answer your prayer assuming normal circumstances.
If he does it would not be murder.

though you could be committing murder in your thoughts(your reason for praying that)...

Bit of a contradiction *and* a theological quandary there. You can't get eternal life if you don't hate your brother, but if you hate your brother you won't get eternal life.

"God answering prayers" is a bit of a misnomer. After all, God will not do what you want unless God was planning to do something anyway, and if God was planning to do it anyway then the prayer had no effect on the decision, so the prayer is meaningless.

This means a murderer because indulging in that passion, which, if followed out to its natural consequences, would make him one, whereas, 1Jo 3:16 desires us to lay down our lives for the brethren, duels require one awful to say to risk his own life, rather than not deprive another of life.

What he ^ said. Troll you said religion is evil, that's your opinion. I assumed belief in God when prayer was mentioned, I answered accordingly.
I don't think Gods will can ever be fully understood, God commands us to pray countless times in the Bible. I don't think God would do that for no reason. I have witnessed the power of prayer but I don't think I could prove it beyond coincidence. But I believe it is Real regardless.

I don't see Christianity as a religion, but more of a Faith because when I visited a Pentecostal Church one time, I did not see any rules that the Church had, but more of a freedom.

I have been to other Churches like Adventists Churches who follow the Sabbath Day, I have talked to some Jehovah's Witnesses, and honestly, they are completely different about their beliefs which they only teach and follow the Old Testament in the Holy Bible, and they claim that Christians are going to hell by not obeying the Sabbath Day.

Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath Day, and to understand the word of God, one must have to be determined to try it, without judging a book by it's cover.

In the book of Matthew it says...

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.

Give the Christian Church a try one day before it's to late, and if it doesn't convince you, then at least you'll know that the Church does not have anything to offer you, but it's logical that if you are determined to seek, then you are going to find the light and the blessings that God has to offer you.

No, Jesus is making it clear that if you don't HATE your brother, you cannot love Jesus. Thats what is made clear from the *text*.

You, on the other hand, do not like what the Bible says, and so you are re-writing the Bible, disputing the text, and essentially arguing that *the Bible is not making anything clear whatsoever*. If it was "clear", then it would not require your clever tapdancing re-write to "determine meaning."

While the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke all have Jesus teaching in parables, and thus occasionally using vague language requiring re-interpretation, the Jesus of the Gospel of John does not use parables, does not use vague language, and thus does not use language which needs re-interpretation to determine meaning.

And God makes the fast shuttle to Hell by including all kinds of rules which contradict each other, then demanding that all of them be followed. The kinds of tapdancing and rewriting you do in your Bible are, of course, violations of those rules as well, for you do not follow the rules as they are written, but as you, a mortal being, choose to read them.

Trying to follow the Bible is a great way to go to Hell: either you're damned for trying to follow the rules, or damned for rewriting the rules (i.e., breaking the rules) in an attempt to follow them.

I think the Bible does not mean what *you* think it means. The verse doesn't say "might eventually be a murderer, if he continues to hate." What the verse SAYS is "anyone who hates IS a murderer." Present tense, not future tense: "anyone" who "hates" is a "murderer" RIGHT NOW, not "might be one sometime in the future."

You sound like former President Bill Clinton, trying to argue that "is" doesn't mean what the world agrees (or Bible translators agree, for that matter) that "is" means.

Yes, there were no parables on the book of John so 1 John 3:15 was made clear when it said; "Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer." Again you argue that "is" does not mean "present tense." The act is "hating your brother", and the sentence declares that the act of hating your brother *is* murder. Your ignorance of English grammar rules is not an argument in favor of anything.

1 John is embarrassing for Christianity, since it creates interesting theological puzzles.

Which means, according to the test of 1 John 4:1-2, that the unclean spirit in Mark 1:23-24 is "of God," despite the context of Mark declaring that the unclean spirit is not "of God."

It makes you wonder why Bible editors added such a contradictory volume to the text.

Anonymous, your points don't actually answer the main issue, which is that 1 John 4:1-2 refers not to people, but to spirits (which means Luke 21:8 is not relative to 1 John 4:1-2, as Luke 21:8 refers to people, not spirits), and that Mark 1:23-24 refers to a spirit who fulfills the criteria set down in 1 John 4:1-2 for the unclean spirit to be "of God."

@Jackstain, Hitler was a communist who had a psychological disorder who wanted everything his own way by burning up Churches, and by terrorizing his own people.

Christians are there to give a lending hand to those that needed, ever heard of Church foundations that recieve no profit? because like Jesus said; "Love one another just as I have loved you." That's what I believe in!

I don't advocate holocausts, and I don't believe that billions of Christians are heading into the wrong direction because if you ever go to Church one day, you will hear many touching testimonies from people that have been the worse and have changed their lives around, plus; "I'm just a sheep whom thousand times I've failed, still God's mercy remains, and I should stumble again, but I'm caught on His grace.

I achieve true happiness by helping others in whatever way I can, and God has showed me to live happy whether it's through the good times or through the bad times.

Maybe it like if you ask someone to do something that you can't do(like say your a mom and theres a leak in the plumbing and you really want it fixed, water is starting to breach your ankles, well your neighbor is a plumber so you quick ask him to fix it) I'm sure he'd be glad to help.
