I see no question mark in that question, Mister Steelhamster.

I do proof-read however, I have to admit that I sometimes make mistakes anyways. It's the same if you write for work, or even school. Your brain knows what you are trying to say so, when you read it, you don't always catch the error. I try not to be too hard on other Answerbaggers because we have varying education levels here and sometimes people that don't have the best command of English. I still think they have a right to participate and have some interesting things to say.

I try to keep an open mind. Maybe someone is excited to give someone help with an answer and they have a typo. Perhaps the person does not speak fluent english and struggles with the spelling or the grammar. The answer should be based on the quality of the answer. Someone could be a Dr. from another country. I try to keep an open mind.

I do give my questions/answers the once over, but some spelling or typing errors probably still get through. It seems like many of the people on AB are used to texting, as they write in the same style here. I find it a bit annoying, but then again it gives my brain a workout trying to decipher some of the stuff!
-
I do but I have to keep going back - I get nervous for some reason - I guess I'm so afraid of making a mistake
-
I do, but I have a weird form of dyslexia and some times no matter how hard I try to get the word right it won't come out the way I know it should. Or it looks right because my brain will put it the right way even thigh it's not what I've typed. And I rate a good answer no matter what. As Mark Twain said "I never trust a man who has only one way to spell a word."
-
I always do. I make sure that the separate parts are relevant to the question and the other parts, and have correct grammar and spelling.
-
Yes, I do, and run it through spell-check, but realise that at times there are mistakes, or the sentence just didn't come out as intended. Some of these questions, the answers are hard to put into words.
-
I usually spell-check them; but, I only proof-read the long ones.

I do not proof read my answers; however, I often return to edit my answer as I receive comments, or as time allows. Sometimes when an answer gets really long, after responding to many comments, I will copy it to work on it offline. I have had many answers vanish after accidently tapping a hot spot on my notebook; this might be the biggest reason for me to switch to writig offline, if I ever do, navigating while typing erases all of your text entries and you have to start all over. A couple times I just gave up and never answered the question at all, after typing a five hundred word answer. Since then I have disabled the nifty little forward and back hot spots on my keyboard. "A lot of answers?", you might ask, eyeballing my mediocre profile. Yes, I am the guy who left AB last year and deleted over seven hundred of my answers. Don't think I don't regret it. I will probably never get enough free time to put half of them back up. I sure hope you don't rate me down or kick me of for that confession.
-
I always do. Its one of my habits that I have here on answerbag. I always re-check my answers and questions to make sure their are no spelling mistakes so its easy for everyone to read.
-
Yes I do, as a matter of fact.
-
I'm a grammar/spelling Nazi, so I absolutely proof-read everything I write! It's one of those adorable little traits I have that drives my husband completely NUTS!
-
that's awfully fascist of you
-
I don't have to check my spelling. I am perfect. Okay, I'm not perfect, and I do try to remember to check the spelling in my answers.
-
whhat th hel do u meen
-
nope, this isn't my job or school. This is something I do for enjoyment. As long as the question or answer is readable I don't care if the spelling, grammar and/or punctuation is perfect.
-
I don't proofread my answers before posting them. I do, however, edit answers if I run into them at a later date to correct any misspellings or incorrectly used words.
-
I usually do. However some mistakes can slip through, anyone can be guilty of those. I do find it annoying when there are many blatant mistakes. English is not my first language, so I hope you forgive some grammatical mistakes as well :).
-
My long answers I do proof read as my typing is atrocious. Shorter answers I check but then I am afraid I often have to edit them as soon as I post because I notice a mistake.
-
Yes. I often add mistakes............/ Looks kinda like a tent.
-
As people have already said, I do proof check everything before I submit it, not just on answerbag, but I still make mistakes.
-
I try to proof read..........I am sure I do make mistakes however. :)

I am typing between reports at work so sometimes I'm in too much of a hurry to go back, but I hope nothing is so bad it's unreadable. I do try to look back through but sometimes my brain is moving much faster than my fingers so I miss key words. That or I'm being carefull about how I word something so as not to be really offensive or downright critical.
