  • Good question. Both buildings define the skyline in which they are located. Both buildings were a departure from the common architecture of the day. Both buildings still retain their names even though the companies are no longer the main holders of the respective buildings. The Chrysler building with its Art Deco top and Gargoyles (which are actually the Chrysler hood ornaments) is one of my favorites. The Transamerica is local to me and I have been it many times. It also survived the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in which the top of the building was said to have swayed several feet side to side. Hard decision!!! but after all is said and done I would have to go with the Chrysler building, because of the time in which it was built, surpassing the Eiffel tower as the worlds tallest structure.. I took the pics of the Transamerica building myself
  • What about them? If you mean which is better as to form/function, I'd better say Transamerica, since I have a policy with them!
  • I'll go Chrysler since it is representing a dying economy.
