They are a convenience. If you want to wind your window down (especially when driving) its much easier and thus safer to do so with electric windows.

In all honesty, it wasn't that difficult to roll down the window to begin with. If we had to punch through the window and replace it every time before automatic windows came around, maybe it could be considered a sign of sloth lol...as it stands though, it's a convenience.
-
yes, but there are counter reasons to it, like it's safer, easier, and more convenient. It is a sign of sloth, but not a very large one.
-
Not really. Now automatic window blinds in the home...ehhhh, maybe just alittle...

Electric windows are the mark of sloth. If rolling down the window while driving is that much of a distraction, you don't know your vehicle well enough to deserve a license; get off the road. And if you're a passenger, then why the Hell are you that lazy? Just go to the hospital and get hooked up to an artificial lung so you don't have to breathe on your own!

Both at the same time.

When they stop working it's a pain it the b-tt - so I'd say can be a mark of sloth sometimes

In any car I have looked at or bought in the past 10 years or so, they are what is called "standard equipment." I usually get a package that includes electric things that I need and also don't need with regards to lights, doors, mirrors and also windows and seats. So if I buy the package, the windows are a part of all the rest. And I do not drive Cadillacs! Far from it.

I find them good for the odd occassion where I'm alone in the car and want to roll down the windows. However, it wouldn't take me more than 30 seconds to do it manually. I always have that nagging feeling when I use them too that they may not always come back up. Now on our primary vehicle the drivers window has stopped working. It will cost me at least $250 to get the motor replaced. Waste of money - I'd have NO problem using manual windows and keeping my $250. It's a mark of a sloth and has only led to more 'convenience' features such as a power steering wheel...
