If 2 cars are traveling in the same direction on a straight road and the first or lead car is moving at a rate of speed of 55 mph, what rate of speed would the second car have to travel to maintain an equal 2 car length distance from the first car?

    You would also have to travel at 55 miles an hour. Otherwise, the difference between the two cars would change.
