Help answer this question below.
Travel nursing is when nurses travel around the country filling temporary positions at health care facilities where there are staff shortages. Nurses are able to choose where they want to go. A travel nurse's assignment can be a little as one month or as long as one year. After an assignment is done, a travel nurse can extend his assignment or move on to a new one. Travel nurses fill in for fellow colleagues who are away on maternity leave or short-term disability due to injury or illness. Travel nurses help health care facilities provide consistent levels of service. Travel nurses work with a travel nursing company to get assignments. They receive housing and benefits like 401k retirement plans and medical insurance. Travel nurses get a chance to see other parts of the country while doing something they enjoy. They also get to work with a variety of people, which may keep the job interesting. In addition to nurses, radio technologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists can also travel on assignments. Travel nursing companies require candidates to have at least one year of experience.Time Frame
