  • If you have to pee, both are bad :) Elevator because there is no stereo or cupholder, and no window to roll down.
  • Elevator, without a doubt. At least in a car you can roll down the window if the air suddenly develops more 'character'....
  • Traffic. An elevator is sort of exciting waiting for someone to come at your rescue. While being stuck in traffic has no amusment whatsoever, is dull and boring, and takes on forever and you can't even get out. *Note, the elevator has an emergency button*
  • In an elevator. At least in traffic if I had to I could get fresh air and even leave if it was at a standstill. In an elevator their is no place to go but up, or down. And whether I was alone or with entertaining people (fat chance) I would not like it at all. Closed, stuffy places where I am trapped are not my idea of fun. Neither are traffic jams, but at least I can see the sky and get fresh air.
  • Stuck in traffic is by far the best of the two scenerios. personal relief can be obtained in a traffic jam. find a bottle or find a tree. not so, in an elevator. panic attacks occur more likely in an elevator, rather than an open, stalled automobile. food and water is available in most traffic jam situations. not so, in an elevator. And finally for the smokers............ You can smoke in your auto, stuck on the freeway. not so in an elevator. A traffic jam has many more relief factors, rather than being stuck in an elevator. I'll take four wheels anytime.
  • I think being stuck in an elevator is worse. At least in a traffic jam you can open windows for fresh air.
  • Elevator... because the music I listen to on the radio is WAY better then any elevator music.
  • Elevator - you can only climb your way out - in traffic you can open the door and walk away
  • elevator. in a car there is music and fresh air if you roll down the window.
  • I would say elevator. You could be in the elevator with a pervert of someone with horrible body odor and then you are at their mercy. At least in traffic you can lock yourself in your car. Here in my car I feel safest of all I can lock all my doors It's the only way to live In cars
  • Being stuck in an elevator. That is one of my fears. At least in a car you can get out and have a radio to listen to.
  • Elevator. The one at work has an emergency phone. Also has an escape hatch at the top, I'm tall enough to pull myself out. The only way I handle being stuck in traffic is the cd/tape player.
  • I'll take being stuck in the elevator any day! It's quiet...except for that damn "Girl from Ipanima" that keeps playing over and over. I just hope that the day I'm stuck in an elevator, I'm stuck there with Burt Bacharach, so I could look him in the eye and ask him, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??!?"...then I'd eat him, just in case I was going to be stuck in there for a long time. Only after I got out would I discover that he didn't write that song, but I'd still be blamed for his death even though it really wasn't my fault.
