A technique I learned from one of my mothers friends: Cut a simple shape (for Christmas: star, bauble, tree etc.) from double-sided tape. Onto the sticky side press anything thin and lightweight (paper, dried flowers, small beads, pieces of fabrics or ribbons etc.) and fill in the gaps with clean, dry sand or glitter. Turn upside down and tap to remove excess. Remove backing and place on a simple card.
