I chose Pop-up. I'm use gmail mailserver and it clears most spam emails, almost 100 per day. And adblock plugin in firefox is effectually against the pop-up ads in my computer.

I don't get pop-ups anymore.. Firefox This leaves me with no choice but SPAM that still finds a way into both my yahoo and gmail accounts.

Same as owneroftheuniverse, i have firefox, no pop-ups, but spam email comes in but i haven't got a clue how they got my email... same sort of email constantly in junk...

Pop ups. If spam makes it into my inbox, it's kind of gratifying to flag it as spam and say to myself "nice try sucker".
-
pop ups, as 'most' of spam emails are filtered already for me

Spam emails. Those are parasits of the global email system. Pop-up ads are to be considered as a possibility to finance the information presented on a website. However, both can be very annoying, because even if you suppress them with some program or setting, you possibly suppress other information too. If the ratio [annoyance through pop-ups]/[usefulness of the site] is too low, you just don't go on that site.
