  • here it is..
  • Her butt aint big enough for that to be a black man's fantasy.
  • Well, it does assume that they'll get hate mail for it. It also definitely calls out black men as if they have some sort of different version of a "fantasy girl". It stereotypes that all black men want a blonde, Caucasian woman. It plays on the stereotype of blacks and watermelon. When you put all of those things together, it is highly racist, and apparently intends to be.
  • oh it must be because shes a white woman, in a kitchen makin food ready, and that food is a watermelon. i think theres a racial stereotype about that. http://www.authentichistory.com/diversity/african/chickenwatermelon/index.html
  • I'm British. I think yes, from the hatemail comment the poster assumes its own racism. And it is a white girl - therefore making an implicit assumption that a white girl is superior to a black girl. Plus, she is in the kitchen preparing food, taking on a subservient role, and is therefore playing on stereotypes of the black man. Interestingly, I am not an American, so I didn't get the whole watermelon thing. I just thought it was a watermelon! I thought maybe it was supposed to mean the man was Caribbean because it is a tropical fruit!? I never knew that watermelon had racist associations... I am not really aware of black American stereotypes. We have our own history of black Jamaican stereotypes though. Within that framework, a black Jamaican man would be thought of as chilled out and not wanting to do any work, and wanting to be waited on hand and foot. Not true, but a stereotype no less. Plus, we'd connect watermelon with tropical areas, and think she was preparing him food from home... though it would have been better if it was plantain :-)
  • This racist? Get real
  • If it was not meant to be racist, why does it say, on the image itself, "lets see how much hate mail we get for this"? Antigone Rising broke it down nicely http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/8061128 ... and the fact that the person who made it said what he said about hate mail shows that it is fully intentional.
