  • Withholding information is a lie by omission. However, is it wrong? Not necessarily. If they find out that you did withhold information that they asked for, they will consider that a lie. So consider how tight can you keep this secret?
  • I think it depends on the nature of the information withheld. If it's something that could have a negative impact on her health or well-being it is.
  • If you know your partner would want to know and you keep it from them then it is a lie.
  • When we withhold information from a S/O it's usually an ass saving exercise. And it begs the questions; What am I actually protecting myself from? And am I being fair if I'm withholding information from my S/O that impacts them and precludes them from making informed decisions? It makes for a 'stacked in you favour' playing field. Where the 'winner' in reality is the one who ultimately loses.
