I went on a burglary call to a house. back door was open about one foot. went inside to clear the house. no suspect located. in plain view, on the kitchen table, was a brown grocery bag filled with marijuana. a set of scales were beside the bag. neighbor stated the owner worked for a cable company. we called his employment and asked to owner of the house to come home.

As the owner came in his back door, we arrested him. for possession of illegal drugs for resale. in the back bedroom, on a dresser in plain view, we found a black notebook with different peoples names and their purchase amount of marijuana from the owner.

Owner was in shock that we arrested him.

Someone, also made a phone call to his cable company and advised that he probably would not be coming back, that he was just arrested for selling drugs.

Did he lose his job? yes.

Did he deserve to lose his job? yes.
