Why do I need to edit the question and submit the reference URL again before Answerbag displays the refers to link?

Just a guess. There is a 5 minute timer that allows editing of a question for a brief time after it's submitted. I assume this is meant to prevent hoaxes where someone asks a benign question, gets a bunch of people to agree, then edits the question to make it seem they were agreeing with something utterly outrageous. The link display seems to be tied to that 5-minute timer. I think it displays only after the question is no longer editable.

Still must enter the reference URL twice (i.e., edit the question after submitting it) for the question to show it. When I only enter once, no URL appears in the "Refers to" area.

Yeah, it does that to everything. URL's, videos, images. This place is FUBAR.
