  • I have the same thing as you do. Don't worry, you're not alone. I would suggest you get relaxation tapes. What you need to do is get your mind off of everything, and do something you love. This is what I do: I go on the computer, this keeps my mind busy instead of worrying. I play video games, I listen to music, I talk with my family, anything that keeps my mind busy, so that I forget about what I was worrying about, and the worry goes away. To tell you the truth, I worry most when I'm alone, thinking to myself. I would just start talking to someone, this always helps me. I don't think there is a way to stop this, I haven't found a way, because no matter what, I worry. I think the only way to stop this is to outgrow it, to realize that nothing bad is going to happen, that this is all in your mind. Good luck with everything, if you wanna talk, please, I'm always willing to help and talk with anyone who worries.
  • I have the same thing...I worry about myself getting really sick and dying..when my phone rings and its a family member i get worried and think that they are calling to tell me someone in the family died..I worry ALL THE TIME...please if you find away to stop worrying let me know.
  • I have dealt with it for years and years and more years than I can count. I finally had enough( after over 30 years!) and went and got help. I am on meds now and have not had one single thought like that in weeks. Can't tell you how it has changed my life. I hope you don't wait as long as I did.
  • This happened to me in Middle School. I saw a Geraldo Rivera special where he interviewed Mass Murderers and it pushed me over the edge. I was worried about me being at school and helpless to stop some mass murderer from killing my family at home, etc. A teacher told me that I cannot control everything. Some things are not worth worrying about because the likelihood is way too minimal. I should worry about the things that I can have an affect on and focus my energy there. She gave me a pack of gum and told me to chew a piece every time I thought about that and remember that it's not worth worrying over. It worked great.
