I have been living in South Korea for a year now and I have not driven a car or bike in that time. It is easier for me to use public transportation. No traffic issues and it is cheap.

I guess it's a matter of attitude. BUT LoL ~ it would mean so much more planning to do the little things like weekly supermarket shopping, outings would revolve around public transport timetables which arent too hot! ... No more trips to beaches or spontaneous trips to wherever. No ~ I dont think I would enjoy life too mcuh without the independence brought about by my car!

I don't have a car and I enjoy my life. I'm sure it is possible, people enjoyed life prior to the invention of the car, and enjoy with the car, and without a car. Enjoying life is independent of whether or not you have a vehicle to move fro place A to B.

Where we live,northern New Hampshire, life would be very difficult without a car. 4WD is not a luxury here either. +5

I was without a car for 40 years.

Because of the type of work I do,it would be very hard to be without a car.It is necessary for my living. If I was self employed I would be fine without a car.

I never had a car even though I can drive. In the city and its usually easier faster and cheaper to use public transportation. I just call friends when I need a ride to go snowboard thats about it lol
