Why are you waiting? Is she with someone else and you are waiting for that relationship to fail? Yes you should move on and find someone else. Is she in jail? That's a tough one. Of course there are certainly other reasons which will have their own answer.

If she knows and doesnt return any to you then yes, its time to move on. She might be looking for 'better' and when she doesnt find it might fall back on you. Not cause you are her choice but cause you are her 'back-up'?

I've read your comments to get a better idea of the situation. It seems she loves you as a friend and if you are very close - maybe even as her little/big brother. Now if she was your sister would you still want her to be more than friends with you? (If yes it wouldn't feel right and you may even feel guilt for your feelings. If no - the reasons are obvious.) Now you know how she feels and why you should try to move on. And by move on I don't mean stop any contact with her - you can both try to help each other find love by introducing new people you think are compatible for the other person. Good luck!

No amount of time is too long to wait for the one you love, although if they do not love you back, you must move forward and try to get past it. You may see that those feelings will fade with time and some other pretty girl will take our heart.
