Seems more like the last 6 months. Of course, poor leadership, high unemployment, and getting but silly nonsense catch=phrases has that effect on the general public.

Probably a little of both. The recession and constant bad news has a lot of us grumpy.

I think you are absolutely correct in that assumption. People are too busy getting on with their own lives, doing their own thing. If you interfere with any part of that then you are likely to get a whole load of abuse. There are so many many unhappy people these days.
