pound for pound i would have to say the the SAS/SBS. the SEALS have never been tasked by the Pentagon properly and have not lived up to their full potential.

In what sense? Who is better at their jobs? Who do I prefer personally? It is difficult to answer this question because it is so unclear. Anyway, I believe both nation's follow very similar training procedures and both use state of the art equipment. I, as a Brit, am extremely proud of the Special Air Service because from what I've seen and heard they are an extremely effective fighting force (an example of a particularly successful operation being the freeing of hostages during the Iranian Embassy Siege) and I would like to think we would be at the top of this particular military field. However, I can't really judge purely on my patriotism and have to admit that both forces are equal.
