No.The beep sound,would have nothing to do with the operating system.The beeps should be in the format of a code,like 3 short 3 long or something that you should be able to look up.My guess is that its overheating.I would open it up clean all the fans,and make sure they are all turning.Especially check the fan on the video card if there is one.If that doesn't work try to look up the beep code.

Too vague, but likely not. KAFBA is correct that you need to know what the beeps are and what they are trying to tell you. Mine makes that sound when it starts to overheat, and it only overheats when I go too long without cleaning the cat hair out of the heat sinks.

Uninstall any hardware or software you've installed recently as that may be the problem. also it may help if you restore your system to a time before this problem started :)

I also would suggest trying to restore to a date before the problem started. You may need to do it in Safe Mode. Good Luck, I hope it is something simple. :-)
