We picked a date close to a national holiday so we could benefit from having that day off of work not only on the day we married but for each anniversary afterwards. We will celebrate our 25th anniversary this year.

Since i had many court dates, we chose our wedding day to accomodate an "off court date" and for the convenience of family members. Turned out pretty good. still married to the same lady for 41 years!
-
I picked Friday the 13 just because it was off the hook and uncommon. maybe a bit twisted, but theres nothing wrong with a sense of humor.
-
We got married on July 4th 1995 reason behind that choicewas because when we first kind of hooked up it was July 4th, 1991, and we've been together ever since.

My wife and I were originally going to be married in Las Vegas on September 11, 1999. However, my wife's mother and brother were going to Las Vegas the last week of September, so we postponed the wedding. I think our anniversary is now the 26th, but I am never sure. My wife has trouble remembering the date also.

We picked 25 November because it was the first date available and because it was a Saturday. I can't say there was any more to it than that.

We decided on it because it was the earliest date we could get married. We got married on Dec 30. The Justice of the Peace that performed the ceremony said it was then or we would have to wait until after the new year. He waved the 3 day waiting period as it was. I don't know what the hurry was. lol We renewed our vows in 2000 on or 6th anniversary. We had the whole ceremony with dress, flower, pictures, the whole nine yards. The only thing was that the Saints were playing in their first playoff in years. We almost missed the ceremony. Who knew the Saints would win their first playoff game that night. :)

You are gonna think this is weird but we actually were going to get married on 5/24/86 and then I found out this gal at work was getting married on 5/10/86 and I just liked that number so much better so we changed it. Heather Locklear and Tommy Lee got married on the same day. I have been in one marriage and they both have ended two

we simply picked it out of an old ice cream container!lol we couldnt choose and we didnt want to nessarily do it on the date we met or such like that so we wrought the dates of all saturdays in the year down put them in the tub then just pulled one out.

Well in my culture, the priest look at both our time and date of birth and gave us the perfect dates and times for us to get married and we choose 1 of those dates and times that we liked best.
-
We picked the day we met, July 23rd (then 1988), (married 2007).
-
We picked April 30, cause it is the day before my husband;s birthday. He likes to say that I married him then I aged him a year in just one day. We were married on April 30, 1987. So have been married for 20+years now.

The first Saturday we were legal!!! We got married 2-5-94 the first Saturday after my husbands 18th birthday. We were just so in love we couldn't wait.

I had wanted to wait until I was 18 before we married. My mom said she needed 5 months to get ready for the wedding as she was going to do all the sewing of the dresses and the cooking and cake baking. We thought that a May ceremony at the beach (we lived in Malibu, CA) would be very nice and we wanted to get married before any national holiday, like memorial day. So we picked a nice weekend in May, the 12th. That gave my mom her 5 months and we were able to get some of the shopping done with the after Christmas sales:-)
-
because it was the anniversary of the day we started dating.
-
We wanted to have our reception at a particular location and that was the day the reception hall was available.
