That they had molested a child. Luckily, I only found out after they were dead.

I know a guy (well, kid...15) who is really quiet. He's a nice guy...funny. I recently found out he's a heavy drinker and smokes cigars a LOT. It totally shocked me. He REALLY doesn't look like the type. Not that the "type" all look...the "type, but...it was just a shock.
