They hired you for who you are. Be that person. Be a great employee. The boss is the boss for a reason--he knows more than you. Support the boss, let him take credit for your good work.

Be neat, dress appropriately, be focused and do the job.

Personally I find jumping up on your bosses desk and beating one's chest like an ape to be an endearing and charming act. If that doesn't work for you, try slinging a little fecal matter his way. Or, you could try showing up shaven, clean, smiling, and pretending to be eager for work. Also, don't do what I did (throwing canned peaches at mr.boss).

Don't try to make a good impression, just turn up bright and early and be prepared to listen and do your job right.
