Since when were they illegal? That violates the Constitution.

Guns are legal. As are concealed carry permits. Just don't cripple the rights of the law abiding citizens for the idiots out there. Guns do more good than harm. Tis the way of the firearm. :)
-
They are legal. It's misuse of them that's illegal.

They are legal where I come from, and they'll stay that way as long as I'm alive ;)

Again? Please explain.

Are you in the U.K.? In the U.S. they are legal.

Here in Canada, we have a few minor restrictions, but most guns in general are still very legal ... I am not sure I understand the question ... when and where were guns made illegal?
-
The last I heard, the Second Amendment is still in effect.

I've seen a lot of so called reality shows where cops run around confiscating gun as *illegal* from people who have no clue what the law is. These shows are cherry picked for public consumption in such a way as to leave an impression that it is totally illegal to have a gun in your possession. I recommend we don't believe everything we see on TV, it'll rot your brain.

if you mean ALL guns including the bogus import restrictions, any full auto manufactured after 1986, the various local and state restrictions on certain types of designs, ammunition restrictions as in 'for law enforcement or military use only' and all of the specific location and travel restrictions. Then no, not going to happen. But I wish our rights were wide open and unrestricted. If I wanted to buy a REAL Russian AK47 I should be able to buy one. If I wanted an M134 of current manufacture I should be able to own one. I should be able to have 9mm AP ammunition if I choose.
