He's considered a local hero here. Obama, now, is NOT at all welcomed into our little town. Unless, of course, He wants a lot of shoes from everyone thrown at Him.

Goggle the smartbomb and you will have one of my answers and another is research. I could go endlessly. I am an Independent but I have hard core Republican friends who started disliking him Years ago.

They don't... there are a few Bush fanatics out there, and as much as I think he was responsible for some pretty terrible and/or irrepsonsible things on the world stage, I don't hate him. For some of those who do hate him, that may be the reason.

He had the courage to stand up for what he believed was right in spite of how unpopular it was. The President's job is not to kiss the asses of the American public and do what is popular with them but rather to make decisions that he feels are in the best interest of our nation and our national security as a whole irregardless of how popular those decisions are. Some of the best presidents had very low approval ratings while in office. At the same time some of our worst presidents have had some of the highest approval ratings. I guess it just goes to show that ineptness and incompetence get rewarded with high approval ratings.

Some of us are just appalled at the way so many folks worship him. As if he accomplished anything of note.

I will be very surprised if you get any solid answers beyond a few bumper sticker slogans. I ask this question to people, and I get, " Bush lied people Died", "Bush is responsible for an illegal war", "Bush cares nothing about the Constitution", "Bush is an illegitimate president",and "Bush is the worst president in 40 years." If you press them to explain their statements, then they can't. The fact is, if Bush was such a horrible, then why has practically every policy started by Bush been extended or copied bu Obama?
