  • I don't know about "Nobel worthy" (I'll leave that to the gang in Oslo), but I believe that Mr. Carter is the best EX-president that we've had in generations. I certainly won't speak for his policies while in office, but I have observed first hand the effects of some of his international work. When he dies, if he can't get one here in the states, I'm certain that there are a number of African and Asian countries that would fight for the honor to give him a state funeral.
  • He was the first president (or person for that fact) to be able to have the Israeli and a representative of the league of Arab Nations sit down and negotiate a peace treaty. things were going good, until the President of Egypt who represented the league of Arab nations was assassinated in a military coup (his name was Anwar Sadat) that is why he won the Nobel Peace Prize
  • As a President, Carter had no lasting contributions of any worth.
  • He grew great peanuts.
