Chacos. I have 4 pairs, all gifts from my kid. Two pairs are what are called "slippers" in Hawaii (we call them flipflops on the Mainland) and the other two are sturdier with great arch support meant for walking great distances..they are waterproof as well. :) They will last longer than I will and I'm going to last a really long time! :)

Dress shoes; I prefer Rockport. Tennis Shoes; I prefer Nike. I look for comfort. Both make me feel I am walking on air.

I love shoes, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I prefer Nike sneakers (I loved that you said sneakers and not athletic shoes!); but I also love Birkenstocks in the summer. Softspots for heels, Naturalizers. I am currently in love with a pair of L.L. Bean suede clogs I bought last year. They are so comfy.

Merrel walking shoes- I bought a pair of hiking shoes and they are great for just walking! Dansko dress shoes, great for being on my feet all day, plus they last a longtime.
