sure you need a fish tank with half water or all water depends on the turtle, some want more surface than water but if you leave them in a filled tank they live just like fish and are happy, so its up to you, where you found them is what theyd prefer in their habitat. (and Im all for it) I had two red eared sliders, theyll eat whatever you put into the tank with em including your pocastumus, or live plant life. they need a light for warmth and a floater for drying out but theyll sleep at the bottom of the tank and everything, they make for very interesting pets.

i stopped and helped one across the road and while carring it,it pissed on me and what a smell,but i saw him on his way safe and all,so watch when you carry him lol.see you live in cape town thats cool i live in zululand,natal,peace
