what potato factor? there mostly flour and not much else!

wouldn't be so bad if they weren't twice fried with additives

The 'artificial' food factor cancels out the 'real' food factor.

When suffering from malnutrition, eating a McDonald's can be better for you than eating a lettuce, so these things are relative.

I would need to be starving to eat that garbage. Totally cancels out the potato factor.

They're fries - cooked in oil and covered in salt. They are not nutritious as such, contain little potato and not much else. However, McDonalds Fries are totally OK to eat as long as you don't eat them all the time. As long as you eat a healthy balanced diet on a daily basis, then the occasional Big Mac and Fries is not going to do you any harm at all.
