  • It's a fine thesis statement. Except that it is not accurate. Obesity is caused by many things, those are included, but also genetics, medications, health issues, and other things factor into them.
  • Obesity is caused by excess body fat which is taken from the food that we eat. So if you eat too much your body turns what it doesn’t need into fat. The bigger portions you eat, the more your stomach gets stretched, so we have to eat more to feel satisfied. Some peoples metabolism cannot deal with the excess fat intake so after time they become obese. Others metabolisms are able to burn it off easily by working or exercise. People who are a high risk of becoming obese should eat less and go for short walks to help burn the fat off. A man only needs 2550 calories per day to sustain his body. A woman needs only 1940 to sustain her body.
