Can people who work in my local bank branch see my current account balance?

    Yes, they can like the teller who is making the deposit or withdrawal for you. NO one else better be accessing you account or it's an evasion of privacy. Several Department of Motor Vehicle clerks were fired for this awhile back for looking up the info on movie stars!

    Only someone who is working on a transaction for you. Just randomly looking a balances will get them fired. When I was a programmer we had to create our own data. We could not use actual files.
