Metabolism and lifestyle play a big part in a persons body weight. I use to play drums in several bands several years ago. i am 6 ft. 5 in. tall. then, i weighed around 165 pounds. you don't see many fat drummers. i would sweat the pounds off. That was my lifestyle back then. Today, i weigh 245 pounds. Some people can eat forever and never gain weight. its their metabolism. actually, they are fortunate people. Look at your family. are most of your members obese of slim? Generally, you can base your body's future on the looks of your family now.

The healthiest way to gain weight is by eating a lot of high fat/ high protein foods. Use alot vegetable oil when you cook. Eat alot of nuts, peanut butter, fried fish, stuff like that. Because that stuff has a lot of fat in it, but also healthy components too. If you eat fast food and shit, you'll gain weight, but it'll be unhealthy weight and you'll feel disgusting and sluggish.

No. Skinny people cannot eat whatever they want because they are skinny. What is unhealthy for non-skinny people is unhealthy for skinny people. Just because you don't put on the weight doesn't mean your internal organs are healthy. First thing, as you actually under weight? And what age are you, if you don't mind me asking? If you're still under 25, I'd seriously let it go. Your body is still growing and settling in to itself. A lot of people tell someone they're too skinny when they are perfectly healthy. It's an envy thing, or when it comes to family, a worry thing. I've been going through that since I was 12 and actually developed an eating disorder around it because was always told I never eat enough. Even when I did put weight on people still told me I was too skinny and need to eat more. If you're malnourished, than eat properly. High protein and healthy fats such as dairy products, nuts, eggs, etc. I would talk to a doctor about your weight. They are the best people to tell you if you are actually under weight or malnourished.

The easiest and probably healthiest way to gain would be to eat foods you like. They are all bad for you and are on the health-nut watch list, which probably means that in the long run they are healthy.

Sure any one can eat whatever they want and every one overweight or not can eat good nutritous foods. There is a whole lot more to health than just your weight. A whole lot of skinny people die every day. +5

Good question. I am often told that i'm too skinny (I prefer to call myself slim or svelte) and are constantly pressuring me to eat more and gain weight. Truth is, i'm naturally like this and I've always been very skinny regardless of what I eat. Healthy eating should be encouraged in every body type. Just because one is skinny does not mean that skinny people can eat what they desire if they want to remain healthy. There are a lot of problems with having an unbalanced diet and a lot of junk food will not only make you skinny with a belly (awful to look at and oh so not sexy) but also give you bad skin, bad teeth, ugly-looking hair and premature aging are just some examples. If you are skinny, eat when you are hungry, eat healthy, exercise moderately at least and you can forget about people picking on your body shape just because you don't have the "Extra curves" a lot of people are trying to get rid off. I apologize for the lengthy answer, but nice question! +4
