  • My husband is English and currently in England. He does not plan to get teh H1N1 vaccine, nor a regular flu shot. Im in America and dont plan to get one either. But i did get a regular flu shot.
  • I haven't heard any sort of debate about that in our news. Then again, the H1N1 shot is not in the news either. It's not something people are talking about because, I guess, few people are planning on taking it. Only those considered at risk tend to go get the regular flu shot too.
  • Cost/benefit massively favours having the shot. If you do not have a pre-existing neurological condition, the neurological damage is an uncommon and transient side effect; the risk from flu, of any sort, is serious. While of course any side effects must be measured and analysed, and preventive action taken if possible, until this has happened, for healthy people having the flu jab is definitely the safer option.
