If an officer is 7 car lengths back from the car being followed. How long would it take for an Officer to estimate the speed of that vehicle without using a radar gun?

    The time it takes to look at his speedo. Few people can use time speed distance to tell how fast something is going. To help the cops you can see white lines across the road(@90 off set). The line are set so that you only needed to time from one line to the next. If each line is .25 miles apart time needed is 15sec @ 60mph or 1 mile every min
    90mph is 1 mile 45sec or 11.25sec @ .25miles
