  • Go at a pace you are comfortable with. The physical part of a relationship should be pleasurable, and rushing things when you aren't ready will just add to your anxiety. Also, though it can be awkward, try to communicate how you are feeling to him. If he is aware of the difficulties you are having and the reasons for them, you can work together on things. This will also prevent him from misinterpreting the reasons for your hesitation. Remember it is about having fun and feeling good. Try not to get hung up on worrying about what you are doing, how you are doing it, what he is thinking, etc... I think a lot of people worry about their looks, performance, etc..., but chances are your partner has no complaints. He may even be having some of the same fears as you.
