Try reading a newspaper. Much of it is unsubstantiated opinion. But can you be bothered to verify all the sources? I don't think being gullible is always a factor.
-
No, it makes you have faith. (AKA Relegion) I tend to disagree with faith my self.
-
i personally have no evidence that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon ... but others do ... so i take it by faith that it is true

Most of the things we believe are based on trust towards authorities. You can't reinvent all of humanity's knowledge from beginning. . But You can learn how to spot lies and motivations of people who share information. Learn how to use logic, notice when people are using eristics and You can have mental tools that are in most cases enough to find out whether the information makes sense.

I honestly don't know a single person who demands evidence for everything that is said to him. Some things simply must be taken on faith or trust, and that alone does not make a person gullible. I think gullible is when a person will believe anything, even when evidence shows that it is most likely not true.
-
Not necessarily. If you examine past evidence of the veracity of those who assert some things- and find them lacking, and yet choose to believe despite their lack of honesty= then yes, you are gullible.
-
No it just makes you uninformed.
-
I don't need evidence to know there is a God who loves me....Its called faith..I don't have to see him but I know he is there...Its a wonderful feeling...it doesn't make you gullible at all..
-
Not necessarily. Many times we take people we trust's word for it. That's not necessarily wrong. We'll become paranoid if we don't. Don't go putting any money on something without evidence though. ;)

Hardly. I bought (Sight unseen) a piece of land from a guy who sells it online. When I got there, it was all he mentioned and more. I had no proof he was honest, decent and caring. But I can attest, he is and always will be. Yeah, about shit my pants when he proved to be a nice guy.>So few of them anywhere.
